iPhone 12 Pro/12 Pro Max to Feature 120Hz Refresh Rates, With Thinner Bodies

Recently, iPhone 12 Pro Max renders, show cased a flat edge design like the iPhone 4. Apple is expected to launch four new iPhone 12 family this fall. The iPhone 12 series includes two ‌iPhone 12‌ models with 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch displays, with other‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ two models (iPhone Pro and Pro Max) with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays.

Apple is probably working with suppliers to make sure that the launch happens on schedule, especially when it comes to the more premium iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which will feature 120Hz refresh rates.

Ross Young, breaking down number of Android phones to have 120Hz refresh rate, fortunately iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max was found on the list. Which means that all four models launching later this year will sport OLED panels, only the Pro/Pro Max version will support a higher refresh rate.

This will allow the display of both handsets to seamlessly switch between the 60Hz and 120Hz options depending on what kind of content is being viewed on the screen in order to save battery life.

Looks like Apple is planning to revamp all the future iPhones starting with the iPhone 12 family. Early this month we saw the iPhone 13 mockups revealing a notch-less screen with under-screen camera. It also revealed that the 2021 iPhone/iPad models will have a USB-C interface instead of the traditional charging interface.
